In reference to a meeting concerning sprung structures which will house people of many ethnicities, Plante suggests playing Money Trees by Kendrick Lamar.

Not into arguing with a voted in member of city council . If 200 representatives of 3 west end commutes speak and attend , trust me there many more .

We have Clarke Kelly tossing f-bombs with earshot of children in a daycare centre and Stephanie Plante doing god-knows-what over the past week or so. It has been said that politics is all about power, money and ego. Time for Ottawa councilors to leave their egos at the door.
Playing devil’s advocate here. She’s between a rock and a hard place. Her residents are getting so screwed and are facing the brunt of the homeless and refugee issues. Crime is out of control in her zone. Iconic businesses are leaving like Steve’s music because of the drug harm reduction industry creating huge crime issues for local businesses. She’s crying for help and they just pile more onto her ward.
Absolutely disgusting conduct by an elected rep. Politics many years ago was considered a devote occupation by older well off professionals doing their duty to the public. Not so much now. More like a place to go to keep warm and eventually pick up a really nice pension after a few years of sitting around pretending to be someone who cares. How many of the present cadre have held a real job before election turned them into seers? What are their actual qualifications to assess and administer the affairs of a city as large and complex as Ottawa? Think about these questions come next election, please.
Bruce, I’ve said this before – no qualifications or references required, simply being elected got them, including the Mayor, the best job they ever had.
