Most seniors would hope that Tierney would stop thinking about them so much.
And exactly what was he thinking?
Ottawa transit commission cut the fare increase for seniors from 120 per cent to 60 per cent.
When did 60 per cent become a bargain?
This is horrible politics. Charge the vulnerable 60 per cent instead of 120 per cent. Then say seniors are your priority. Some priority

Agreed! Tierney’s backdown from his original 120% fare increase for seniors bus passes to 60% is still 5X the increase other transit users are facing. And for the low-income seniors that can apply for the EquiPass that is still an 18% increase.
Seniors seem to be a priority only as a revenue source. Low income seniors and students paying while projects like Lansdowne and Tewin carry no with no apparent restriction. Priorities indeed.
