Thank you Matthew Luloff. Oftentimes city councilors are portrayed as the bad guys in The Bulldog, and in many cases rightfully so. However, lately, a newer set of badasses have appeared in the city hall hallways and offices, city staff itself. I’m sure more horror stories will develop as time passes. Too bad we can’t un-elect these people, however, I’m sure they can be removed from their jobs.
Is that $11.5M before or after they deduct the expense of running the program? That would make a significant difference.
Before praising Councillor Luloff too much, one has to remember that, in addition to his full-time city hall job, he has a side gig that, besides taking up a lot of his time and energy, may influence the causes he pursues and questions he asks at the City. He is the PC candidate for Orleans in the next provincial election and housing is bound to be a big issue in that contest. It’s a bonus for him when points scored at the City also contribute to his provincial campaign.
