Council Ignores Rats’ Long-Term Future

The Bulldog’s funniest reader and commenter Kosmo is concerned about aging rats:

What happens when these rats grow old, can’t care for themselves and don’t have kids to take care of them? Will the city pay for their physiotherapy? Will the city open old age homes for these rats when they don’t have care providers?

The city’s solution is a very-long term project, It goes further than handing out birth control.

  1. The Voter says:

What were they doing in their younger days? They should have been putting some of their ill-gotten gains aside for their golden years. Now they want everyone else to support them and care for them in their dotage? I don’t think so. Their lack of forward planning doesn’t create an obligation on my part to cover their shortages or ill health.

Kill them, I say … kill them all!

What were they doing during their younger days? Living it up and partying cuz they were born before the mandatory condom days.

Would it help if we made the rats a little more personable? Let’s have a Name the Rat Contest and get to know them better. My suggestions would be: Bayview, Pimisi or think out of the box name your favorite rat Nickelback… or Nickelrat maybe Late Plough. Just a few suggestions from me.
