Algae Bloom Gone. Breton Beach Open

This is a release from the National Capital Commission:

The National Capital Commission (NCC) wishes to advise users of Gatineau Park that Breton beach at Philippe Lake has reopened. A bloom of cyanobacteria (Blue-Green Algae) that was observed on July 4th near the edge of the beach has dissipated.  Follow-ups at the site have confirmed that the water is now safe for swimming, in accordance with MELCCFP (Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs) standards.
