Bulldog Clarifies Police ‘Clarification’

The Ottawa Police Service offered a ‘clarification’ of its previous statement on convoy ticketing. The ‘clarification’ was the same as the previous statement.

So The Bulldog would like to clarify the ‘clarification’ of a previous OPS statement which was the same as the ‘clarification’.

Ottawa Bylaw in a release said the OPS told them not to ticket convoy demonstrators. The police in their ‘clarification’ of their previous identical statement said they told bylaw not to ticket convoy demonstrators.

The Bulldog hopes this clarification clarifies the police ‘clarification’ of information they had already released. The police confirmed what bylaw said.

In the journalism business, this is called a non-denial denial.

The Bulldog hopes this makes it clear.
