Bulldog Will Carry Big City LRT Presser At 1:30 P.M.

 

The Bulldog will broadcast the city’s virtual press conference on the problems with light rail.

You can watch the press conference below live. And it looks as if the City of Ottawa is bringing out all the big guns for this newser. Could be interesting. We could use some interest on a miserable holiday long weekend.

Let’s hope there’s some real information:

 

OC Transpo Line 1 Service Update — 2023/08/07

 

The city release on the news conference is below:

The City of Ottawa will hold a virtual media availability to provide an update on O-Train Line 1. Mayor Mark Sutcliffe; Glen Gower, Chair of the Transit Commission; Wendy Stephanson, Interim City Manager; and Renée Amilcar, General Manager, Transit Services Department will be available to answer questions.

In addition, the following subject-matter experts will be available to answer questions from the media:

  • Richard Holder, Director, Engineering Services
  • Joel Lemieux, Manager, Transit Operations Control Centre 
  • Nicolas Truchon, Chief Executive Officer, Rideau Transit Group
  • Enrique Martinez Asensio, General Manager, Rideau Transit Maintenance

Residents will be able to watch the media availability on the City’s YouTube channel.

    Have you noticed the large “X” over Mme Amilcar’s left shoulder with the red “OC” on it? Methinks this may speak louder than the words coming out of her mouth.

    And is Sutcliffe getting greyer? What would bring that on?
