Canada-U.S. Plan EV Charging Corridor
A binational electric-vehicle charging corridor is planned from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Quebec City.
Wonder if local Ottawa politicians are lobbying the other levels of government to be a part of it or if the municipal government even knows about it:
The United States and Canada plan to launch what’s being described as a binational electric vehicle corridor stretching from Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Quebec City.

The 872-mile corridor, which envisions DC fast chargers every 50 miles along the route, was unveiled in Detroit along the riverfront during a joint news conference with U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Mayor Mike Duggan and Canadian Transport Minister Omar Alghabra.

The EV Corridor between Kalamazoo and Quebec City follows Highways 401/40 and and indeed bypasses Ottawa.
Bi National? Kalamazoo to Windsor is how far? and Windsor to Quebec city?. Unless the Americans are investing in Canadian infrastructure (every 80 KM charging stns) it looks to be mostly our dollars being spent. Is there enough “surplus” electricity in Ontario/Quebec for this project without risking rolling blackouts? Remember you have to do your wash and air conditioning AFTER 7 PM to lighten the load on the grid and your wallet. Will the charging stations need another gas fired electrical plant so cars can go green?
