    Same old same old story City dumps sewage for whatever reason, in this case because they do not have a complete, sufficient back up plan for excessive rain events and or power loss. They do not s*** into their own freshwater intakes but consider it appropriate to do so to Hawksbury and L’Original whose intakes are DOWNSTREAM from Ottawa. The city has been before M.o E. since 1997 or earlier and are always making promises to stop the practice of discharging into the Ottawa River, yet the plume is still visible from SECONDARY treatment waste, and Ottawa beaches are still at risk.
