Facebook Bans Beaverton. Alleges It Has News
The wildly satirical Canadian publication the Beaverton has joined the ranks of the Globe and Mail, the National Post and the even more illustrious Bulldog in being banned from Facebook in that company’s squabble with the federal government of Bill C-18.
Bill C-18 would force Facebook and its parent company Meta to pay for the news they excerpt and point to.
Figure on The Beaverton to post a unique take on their banning. It says it doesn’t print news so it shouldn’t be denied access on Facebook.
The Bulldog stands with our brothers and sisters and hyperbolists and liars at The Beaverton in defending its right not to print news … except when the website gets really gross. You know Seinfeld never had to play blue and he did okay.
