Motorcycle Parade To Block Traffic

 

This is a release from the City of Ottawa:

A motorcycle rally is scheduled to do a brief motorcycle tour to salute the National War Memorial around the noon-hour on Saturday, August 5. The Ottawa Police Service will monitor public safety and will be present to ensure the safe passage of motorcycles through the downtown core.

The motorcycle ride will travel eastbound on Highway 417 and will briefly impact traffic in the area of Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue before departing the city via Highway 417.

Ticketing and towing

The City of Ottawa By-law and Regulatory Services (BLRS) will have Officers out on the streets ensuring all parking regulations are observed by residents and visitors. All vehicles found in violation of parking restrictions will be ticketed and/or towed.

    I hope police will also also enforce noise violations, header exhaust is illegal and disrupts all citizens enjoyment of this great city. Parking overtime does not, (but is also important).
