Police Board: This Is Odd

Odd that they would even respond to rumours. The way it’s worded doesn’t rule out the individual being a police officer or civilian employee though.

I would never send such a message for several reasons. First, it means you pretty well have to respond to every similar allegation in the future. Second, unless the individual has already been charged or exonerated, it’s not appropriate to comment. Third, by being so vague, it almost invites further speculation and will feed more rumours.
