Tag-A-Bag Garbage Will Be Another Mess: FACEBOOK

A Facebook friend takes on the issue of tag-a-bag garbage.

It’s interesting that with all the spectacular cock-ups for which the City of Ottawa has been responsible, our betters at city hall are still lecturing us on what we should do or not do with our lives.

Here’s an idea. Leave the people of Ottawa alone until you can get your own act together. Maybe try this … build consensus in Ottawa on major projects rather than simply forcing them on the public (as was done with e-buses). And stop these great-leap-forward projects because the municipality doesn’t have the ability to get them right.

The 10 Commandments Of City Hall …

Imagine spending $2.2 billion on a light-rail project that doesn’t work and is unsafe yet it continues to run, yet the people at city hall are lecturing us and billing us for our wayward garbage habits.

Who voted for tag-a-bag? Why are we pouring hundreds of millions of dollars in Lansdowne, a plan that has failed miserably for the people of Ottawa?

Now tag-a-bag … another fiasco. Stop it.

Please allow me to paraphrase the comments made by this insightful writer: “Let’s begin Ottawa’s latest project by cleaning out all the garbage sitting behind desks within the walls of 110 Laurier Avenue West”.

That would cut the life expectancy of Trail Road by five years.
