The Real April Fool Is You: THE VOTER
Who are the real April Fools’?
Although municipal elections take place in October, those residents of Ottawa who vote for the members of city council are fooled over and over again and keep returning to office people who have shown time and time again they are incapable of providing the city with the leadership and stewardship it so desperately needs.
The real April Fools’ are the people who don’t exercise their right to vote in municipal elections and lose out on the opportunity to make Ottawa the great city it should be.
They are joined in their foolery by the people who could hold council accountable and knowingly choose not to. This group includes the provincial government as well as those such as the police who have chosen not to respond with the remedies at their disposal when council has been shown to not be acting in the best interests of the city and some of its members and staff might even have, in addition to their moral and ethical shortcomings, stepped over the bounds into criminal behaviour.
The new city motto? Ottawa: Home of the Fools.

Don’t forget the dead wood running the country…..unfortunately, most people who are elected to high office go from acedemia to politics
Most have never had a REAL JOB, , NEVER DONE AN HONEST DAY’S WORK, BALANCED A BUDGET, MAKE ENDS MEET, ……they come from the bubble of wealth and privlege and cannot relate to REAL PEOPLE.
Actually Diane, name Poilievre real job. k
I was thinking the people “wanting” to run the country is what she was talking about.
