Watson’s Trying To Be The Comeback Kid

Now what’s a former mayor, addicted to politics, doing with a feature piece in the hard-hitting Kitchissippi Times?

Or what’s he doing in a lovely community photo with Mayor Mark Sutcliffe and some residents in front of Tom Brown Arena. Right in Ottawa Centre.

Or signing up for the board at the Ottawa Community Housing Foundation.

And isn’t the MP for Ottawa Centre stepping down to run for Ontario Liberal Party dispelling rumours that the Ontario Liberal Party no longer exists.

Heat, Humidity Felled The Train: WHOPPER WATCH

A bit of advice for our former mighty leader of all of Ottawa … you might keep your head down while the train has taken a powder or after, for that matter.

You’re not exactly Mr. Popularity in Ottawa at present and doesn’t the train once run through part of Ottawa Centre?

Furthermore, why is it that Watson always toddles off to the community media when he’s in political trouble?

Maybe because they won’t ask the tough questions that seasoned reporters do?

  1. Dan Stankovic says:

This guy (Watson) should be banished from the kingdom for at least the next 100 years.

  2. Robert Roberts says:

Agree. Watson and the other two should be shunned.

  3. Annette Goldenberg says:

I have to laugh or maybe wonder how all you of would feel if you did something the rest of Ottawa didn’t approve of. Okay he’s gone, stop critizing him. I think that all of you are just hateful. Just leave it be and go on to something new for a change. I’m sure all of you can think of something to critize and leave the past mayor alone.

    Annette:

Thank you for this. It’s not hate. He’s a public figure who botched LRT to the tune of $2.2 billion.

    He’s much deserving of attention.

He chose the life. He chose to go forward with the rail. It was his job to provide oversight.

His decisions are creating the attention about his future.

Watson did it. We report and comment on it.

    cheers

  5. The Voter says:

Watson is an attention hound. Maybe we should all just ignore him and stop feeding his cravings. Can you imagine him without the media response? What if he showed at an event and nobody talked to him? What if people stopped inviting him to things?

I realize he has a symbiotic relationship with the media and it might be hard to wean them off him but they could do it if they tried.

Attention to him is like sunshine and rain to a plant. What would happen if it dried up? Would he wither up and blow away? We can hope!

See the pictogram on the right of this page that shows “Most Popular Topics”? We want “Jim Watson” to shrink to be as small as “Allan Hubley” and then to disappear as “Manconi” and “Kanellakos” have. The same needs to happen with other media outlets.
