Read on. You will be amazed:

Cargo bikes are an environmentally friendly mode of transportation. They don’t require any fuel, which means they don’t produce any emissions. This is a huge benefit for the environment, as it helps to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, they are much quieter than cars and trucks, which means they don’t contribute to noise pollution. By choosing a cargo bike over a car or truck, you’re doing your part to help protect the planet.

    They don’t require any fuel? They do require pedal power which requires the rider to be fuelled although, admittedly, not by the dread fossil fuels. And how long will it be before a small motor is added by the cyclist to ‘assist’ with the propulsion of the bike? Especially if you’re hauling hockey gear around.

    Are cargo bikes even allowed in conventional bike lanes? This will be a real issue in winter. Where is the hockey player riding in this adventure? Is he or she bundled in with the hockey bag and sticks in the carrier? Or hitched on behind in a trailer?

    @The Voter,

    I see a few of these around, only the downtown area. I have seen MPP Harden riding half on the street half on the sidewalk and the wrong way on one way streets. You are correct too many questions still to be asked, and mostly safety… riders and non riders alike.
