City Creates Open-Fire Tattle Line
This is a release from the City of Ottawa:
If someone is burning in your area while the Open Air Fire Ban is in effect please contact the OFS Communications Centre to lodge a “Burn Complaint”. Your information will be kept confidential and an official from OFS will be sent to investigate the complaint.
We appreciate your assistance in preventing grass or other dangerous fires to occur during high risk periods.

I don’t usually support tip lines because they are frequently abused but I’m all in favour of this one. People who are putting their neighbours at risk need to be held accountable. There’s no grey area here. I hope there are heavy fines for having a fire and I also hope they’ll be enforced with a heavy hand. No leniency or second chances!
I would like to like to file a complaint to the city on the city for being burned $2.1B and counting. The LRT doesn’t work when it’s to cold, to icy or to hot and now it doesn’t work when it’s to busy.
