City Declares Burn Ban
This is a release from the City of Ottawa:
When fires are not permitted
All open air fires are prohibited during a ban, including for properties that have an Open Air Fire Permit.
This ban applies to agricultural burns, brush pile burns, as well as campfires.
There will be zero tolerance enforcement during the fire ban as per the Open Air Fire By-law (No. 2004-163).
When fires are permitted
Remember, City of Ottawa residents must obtain an Open Air Fire Permit in order to have an open air fire.
All burn permits are issued and regulated under the Open Air Fire By-law (No. 2004-163) .
Prior to setting an open air fire, you must first contact Ottawa Fire Services at 613-580-2880.
