Come Back, Jimbo. Come Back: THE VOTER

The Voter would like to celebrate the opening of the wide expanse of Wellington Street to the great unwashed:

Where’s Jimbo when you need him? This is definitely a let-them-eat-cake story from the city. One can clearly see how the reopening or not of a few blocks of Wellington Street has to be, bar none, THE very most important issue facing the city now and in both the immediate- and long-term future.

Convoy-Closed Wellington To Re-Open Friday

Will there be an official event to mark the reopening? Maybe a ribbon cutting with cake and lemonade served to the hordes of onlookers? I, for one, will clear my agenda to attend such an important, once-in-a-lifetime, historic occasion.

That sounds like unrequited love. Poor Voter. She misses her Jimbo. Kind of like Little Joe misses Shane as he rides off into the distance.

Jimbo’s gone … off to new adventures … like Shane.

  1. Miranda Gray says:

Unless bylaw has cleared him out, you can likely get a hot dog from the striker’s hot dog guy.
