Figures Don’t Add Up At Lansdowne: WHOPPER WATCH

“For me, there would be an astronomical cost to doing nothing.”

Orléans West-Innes Councillor Laura Dudas on her positive Lansdowne vote.

Where do we find these people to elect and why do we elect them?

Basic public-school arithmetic shows Dudas’ statement is wrong. Dead wrong.

The cost of doing nothing is more than $419 million plus the high-interest rate on debt? Does the councillor really believe this? Really?

Surely she can’t be serious so why is she saying it? What’s in this $419 million for the people of Ottawa? What’s in it for the City of Ottawa? What’s in it for city staff? What’s in it for the mayor and council? What?

What’s the real reason behind the support for Lansdowne? People would love to hear it because we certainly didn’t hear it from Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group, city staff and council.

What’s the real reason, councillors?

  1. Kosmo says:

For a Councillor to be uninformed is an unacceptable excuse, but it does look like our Ottawa City Councillors are using the ‘go with the flow’ voting style.

  2. Ken Gray says:

    Kosmo:

They either don’t understand the issue or they are just trying to snow the public on Lansdowne.

Our councillors are an embarrassment to this city.

    cheers
