  1. The Voter says:

It looks as if Watson never left? Maybe he didn’t. He doesn’t have to be there in person to steer the ship onto the shoals. He has his little puppet, Mark Sutcliffe, to do the bidding of Jim and his gang of ne’er-do-wells. They got him into the position and clearly are calling the shots.

  2. Merrill Smith says:

The good news is my Councillor voted against. The bad news is I can’t punish her in the next election Maybe I’ll have to move.

  3. John Langstone says:

Every yes vote a disservice to Ottawa taxpayers, most of whom I suspect don’t understand how bad a deal this is.

  4. Kosmo says:

Interesting the councillors with ridings furthest away from Landsdowne voted yes.

  5. John Langstone says:

Speaking to Kosmo’s point, is de-amalgamation the only answer to restoring democracy in urban Ottawa?

  6. James Russell says:

On twitter, apparently, there is a graphic of wards that voted against in green and those voting for in black. I’d love to know where I could get a copy, because it makes a lovely black armband for Ottawa which we could use to symbolize the death of local democracy.
