Idling will stop immediately because people will discover they don’t get as cold if they dress warmly. Just wait until this catches on. Imagine the brilliant side benefits such as less pressure on our over-taxed emergency departments at hospitals because few cases of frostbite will be treated. And paramedics, there goes the crisis in emergency responses. This is great.

City Expects Modest Flooding In Ottawa

The city is now telling us to dress warm in winter. Wasn’t that the job of your mother when you were five years old?

This just in: city discovers Ottawa is cold.

And there’s no impact like an anti-idling bylaw directed toward cold-weather in May.
