“Today WE were INVITED to speak to a Grade 10 class about policing and racism. Tough questions. We were honest and transparent. Clearly they didn’t have an issue of us coming to the school. These boys came up to US and engaged in a convo. In the end, they wanted a pic with us!”

Tweet from former Barrhaven Community Police officer Sgt. Maria Keen

Uniformed Ottawa Police Service officers were invited to Pierre-Savard High School in Barrhaven which is part of the French Catholic School Board.

Freezing Police Budget Will Get OPS Attention

Odd but isn’t the prolite response to such an event something like: “Thank you for the invitation. We had a wonderful time. Hope you did, too.”

A very Trump like answer: perfect meeting, perfect convo, perfect invite and perfect selfies. Everything was perfect.

I had trouble putting into words what I was seeing. Sort of like the police are right and you are wrong.

The police appear incapable of reforming themselves. Apparently we’re the problem.

Educators don’t know much but we do. Because we are the police.

This is the attitude that got the police in trouble in the first place.

Nothing like seeing a paramilitary force that is to protect us to politicize.

    That’s a dangerous thing.

    cheers

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. Don’t see that happening anytime soon in this case.
