Prompt Transpo Warning Translation Critical: THE VOTER

It looks like OC Transpo thinks its francophone customers don’t need advance notice in a severe storm that their bus might not be at the corner when they are.

The implementation of their severe storm protocol meant that buses all over the city were cancelled and they stopped serving certain stops. That’s something you need to know the night before.

A couple of hours delay in providing translated information, while not acceptable, is understandable. Fourteen hours is not.

As well did OC Transpo drop the severe storm restrictions when Environment Canada dropped the weather warning or are they in their own weather bubble?

The Voter is a respected community activist and long-time Bulldog commenter who prefers to keep her identity private.
