Robot Can’t Show Affection Like A Puppy: THE VOTER

the.voter .logo

The Voter has come out against using robots for companionship as mentioned in an earlier Bulldog post.

What an excellent use of scarce research dollars. Not.

Why aren’t they looking at ways of connecting people with other people or real bunnies or puppies? This seems to me to be a recipe for further isolation when the individual turns to an artificial source for companionship.

What kind of conversations can you have with a robot that represents a three-year-old?

Does a robot puppy lick your face?

The Voter is a respected community activist and long-time Bulldog commenter who prefers to keep her identity private.
