Evan Potter, an associate professor in the department of communication at the University of Ottawa, sent this note along to The Bulldog recently concerning Lansdowne 2.0 and city auditor general Nathalie Gougeon.
You could call this Whoppers Watch with emphasis on the plural.
This is a message sent to Lansdowne supporters after the affirmative vote at Ottawa City Council for the project.
Former mayor Jim Watson is alive and well and living in Ottawa City Hall.
When did it become the responsibility for the province to pay the City of Ottawa’s bills?
Mayor Mark Sutcliffe’s tweet below sounds like an argument against Lansdowne.
One just presumes that this kind of important infrastructure is maintained in the winter but apparently not.
Maybe the city is trying to avoid the embarrassment of cost overruns at Lansdowne such as we have witnessed with LRT and most other large projects.
