Troster Shocked At MPP’s Partisanship: WHOPPER WATCH

“Somerset ward Coun. Ariel Troster believes partisan interests got in the way of the (Bill 5) passing second reading.”

Troster as translated by the CBC

Oh my gawd, what could happen next?

That’s a level of incongruity that few could possibly imagine. Why Claude Rains in Casablanca would astonished by such a claim.

Partisan politics involved in a government bill at Queen’s Park? I’m shocked.

No doubt Premier Doug Ford’s minions played a role in dumping Bill 5. And because the bill gestated in the womb of Ottawa City Hall, well, that didn’t help. Ford is not former mayor Jim Watson’s cup of tea, though that’s hardly an exclusive group.

Sloppiness Kills Provincial Abuse Bill

So councillor, welcome to the world of politics and partisanship. It’s actually news when partisanship does not play a role in a political decision at any level of government. Ah grasshopper, you have so much to learn.

And one other thing. Bill 5 came about because of politics. Don’t kid yourself otherwise.

Ken Gray

Good scene: Casablanca

Somerset Councillor Ariel Troster is shocked that partisan politics has invaded Queen’s Park. She mimics the great Claude Rains from Casablanca.
