Blais’ Bill 5 Defeat Leaves MPP Baffled

Municipal Affairs Minister Steve Clark “has his own version of the bill ready. I know because he consulted with me and the NDP critic on it a year and a half ago. I hope they bring their own bill forward.”

Orleans Liberal MPP Stephen Blais after his Bill 5 was defeated at Queen’s Park

That must be true because a trusted Orleans MPP said it.

Except Clark responded to the CBC this week by saying that he trusts that voters will deal with wayward politicians at the ballot box.

That doesn’t sound like the Tories have their own version of Bill 5 on the way.

Perhaps in the wake of Blais’ defeat of his Bill 5, he was badly confused.
