    There is one precedent: from 1933-42 the City of Prince Rupert had its Mayor and Council “fired” when they declared the city was bankrupt. The city was run by a provincially appointed administrator for 9 years. This unnecessary Lansdowne spending may do this for Ottawa.

    Andrew. I hope you’re right, although there are a couple of good councillors it would be a shame to lose, Rawlson King and Steve Desroches come immediately to mind. As for Donald Trump sneakers, I’m sure the marketing department at city hall could develop a product that would sell out in 15 minutes online.

    This unnecessary spending benefits developers. Doug Ford loves developers. Don’t hold your breath.
