So now we know where are government propaganda comes … courtesy of The Voter.

All government public relations and communications staff as well as most of the City of Ottawa’s senior staff are sent away for an extended course in Reality 101 that’s offered in Wonderland?

The faculty members include the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse, the Red Queen and, of course, Alice among others.

The graduate level courses, Reality 501 and Reality 601, have been taken by many senior staff at the City of Ottawa as well as a number of politicians. It is given Through the Looking Glass where nothing is as it seems. Phrases such as “on-time and on-budget” have their genesis there and that particular phrase actually means “whenever we get around to it and whatever it ends up costing but don’t hold your breath on either account.” Its creation is attributed to one Jim Watson, former mayor of Ottawa, who graduated summa cum laude in all the courses offered.

The school anthem is, of course, White Rabbit by Grace Slick and chess and croquet are offered as extra-curriculars.

The Voter is a respected community activist and long-time Bulldog commenter who prefers to keep her identity private.
