POLICE: Keep Your Far-Right-Wing Agenda To Yourselves

Frankly, I’m tired of police officers pushing their far-right-wing political agenda down the throats of the people they are supposed to be protecting.

Below is another example.

The record of the Ottawa Police Service is far, far from glorious. Some actually worked at cross-purposes to the will of the public and the OPS in their work on the far-right-wing Freedom Convoy protest.

The City of Ottawa, the Ottawa Police Services Board, the OPS executive and the public should be the administrators of the police, not the other way around. The OPS is out-of-hand. Its views are interfering with its work which is to be done in an unbiased and fair manner.

OPP Deems Man’s Death Response ‘Not Serious’

Perhaps if the police gave the same attention to good policing as they do their far-right-wing agenda, they’d be doing a better job. And then maybe elementary school students wouldn’t be giving them the finger from the back of a bus.

In some areas, a little knowledge goes a very short way:

A group of active and retired police officers from several forces has launched a legal challenge over Ontario’s pandemic orders, alleging that enforcing the rules requires officers to breach their oath to uphold the constitution.

Notice of the constitutional challenge was filed late last month on behalf of 19 officers, including two Toronto officers currently facing an internal police investigation for allegedly breaching restrictions on social gatherings.

OPS: ‘Entitlement And Authoritarianism’: QUOTABLE

The civil action targets Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Ontario’s attorney general, five police chiefs as well as federal officials.
