Save The Endangered Lycra: WHOPPER WATCH

“The main draw for tourists to visit alpaca farms are guided tours, countryside walks, picnics and, in some cases, even yoga all involving alpaca.”

Alessio Donnini, CBC News

Wow.

Who says there’s a crisis in journalism?

With hard-hitting stories like these we know that the news industry is in a good place.

Alpaca yoga. Who saw that one coming? There’s an issue that flew under the radar here at Bulldog World Headquarters. We missed this completely. Shame.

Was Lululemon caught flat-footed on this question? Are its employees madly designing lycra activewear for alpacas? Or have they stopped using lycra because, due to over-hunting in the Amazon rainforest, the lycra has been put on a wildlife endangered species list? These are things we yearn to know as we plant a million trees.

Yessirree, a little alpaca yoga, some wicker furniture-weaving, two glasses of sauvignon blanc, a $50,000 Jeff Leiper-designer-model fat-tired bike and maybe some hemp shirt-making and your life is complete … until the next trend (is this a trend?) comes along.

Myself? I’ll be playing golf. Or if it rains, going to watch that new Barbie movie. Who is this interloper Ken, anyway?

Ken, Ken, Ken. Unfortunately/fortunately, most Bulldog readers live in the world of hard cold realities (populated with the likes of Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Ottawa city councillors) and have a difficult time comprehending touchy-feely world. Perhaps we’ll convert someday. Likely not.
